The Vision: Finding a Soul for an Industrial Space Sometimes, a room feels "almost" finished but lacks a soul. A customer reached out to us looking for a statement piece to soften the look of a textured concrete wall. They wanted something circular, intricate, and expansive—a piece that felt like a meditation in wood.
The Craftsmanship: Geometry in Motion We set out to create a massive, hand-carved Mandala panel. Every petal and vine was carved by hand, radiating outward from the center in perfect symmetry. To make the details truly "pop" against the dark background, we applied a weathered white-wash finish. This technique allows the paint to settle into the deep grooves of the carving, highlighting the 3D texture of the wood and creating a sense of depth that changes as the light moves throughout the day.
The Result: A "Boho-Industrial" Triumph The finished panel is a triumph of nature meeting architecture. Mounted on a raw concrete wall, the contrast between the organic, delicate wood carvings and the rugged stone creates a vibe that is both calming and sophisticated.
